For Prince Edward Multicultural Council, Monica designed two award winning floats in the annual Gold Cup and Saucer Parade in Charlottetown, in 1990 and 1992. And Gorman Award for the Chinese PEI Association in 1990. Some of many volunteer projects she has contributed to the smallest province in Canada.

Award winning float (the Best Institutional Award) for PEI Multicultural Council 1990 designed by Monica Wu and done with a tight budget of $500 for materials.

Award winning float ( Outstanding Achievement Award) for PEI Multicultural Council 1992 designed by Monica Wu in the Gold Cup & Saucer Parade. Many weeks of work including design, materials, methods & constructions were required.

Gold Cup & Saucer Parade is usually held on the second weekend of August. Many Islanders return to the Island on this weekend.

Team Work

With the assistance and enthusiasm of many cheerful volunteers, age 5 to teenagers to seniors, Monica was able to bring her design to reality in a shoe string budget! Many thanks to Leti LaRosa for her energy and assistance.
