With classical ballet training in Taiwan, Brazil and Canada, Monica enjoys ballet as one of her many hobbies

Monica initiated & volunteered her service by teaching folkdances in Charlottetown, PEI, in February,1990. Her goal was to promote cross-cultural understandings. She was then invited to participate in the Typecasting production with Dance Umbrella school. Typecasting was performed at Confederation of the Arts, PEI.

Choreographed a fusion ballet/ Chinese Fan dance for Tammy Hicky, a Dance Umbrella's student in Charlottetown, PEI, in January 1991.

Carol Ann Ding, Pat & Darleen Kun were invited to perform at the National Karate Conference in Charlottetown, PEI in October, 1992.

Monica taaught young ladies 1989 PEI

First Chinese folk dance group in PEI performed at the Chinese New Year Party in February,1989.After 40 weeks of training/practice, these beautiful young ladies who had no previous dance training did a marvelous job in their first performance! Special memory to Janice Kun who will always be remembered by everyone.

Monica & students Heritage Fall Fest

Recipient of Gorman Award for excellence in performing arts, decorative booth, and food presentation at the Heritage Fall Festival. Monica and her students performed three times in one day on September 17, 1990 in front of the Province House and at Confederation Center of the Arts, PEI.

Monica danced at Confederation Arts

At age 38 with two small children (age 4 and 7), Monica wore many hats at the Heritage Fall Festival on September 17, 1990. She was appointed judge for the Gorman Award, an organizer/ designer for the PEI Chinese Canadian Association's booth and folkdance teacher/performer ( three performances in one day), and an organizer of the First Chinese Painting Workshop.
